I don't have one from you, I don't think. Can you resend it?

Gary, Bob mentioned at the beginning of this tread you are toying with the idea of selling the BMS together with LifeBatt Packs.
As Bob is out of the lifebatt business is anyone of you still in contact with them and is the idea still in the back of your minds?
Regards Sven
EDIT:
Or a customized "Solderless Construction Kit" 16s4p or something like that without the LVC.
GGoodrum said:[No, I'm done with LiFeBatt. The PSI cells they use in their HPS packs are better than anything else out there I've found, except for a123 cells, but getting them through LiFeBatt is not a option. Many, such as ypedal here, I'm told, are geting them directly from PSI now, but I'm not sure.

Not sure what you mean about solderless kits. I am going to be doing a new solderless kit for the a123s, and for other 26mm diameter LiFePO4 cells, that would have a full BMS capabiity for each 4s4p "stick" but to fit that form factor I had to split the LVC and CMS functions into two small boards that will be stacked together. I might look at what it would take, though, to maybe do a variant that might use an 8, 12 or 16 channel variant of the board, as the top of a pack that has all the cells side-by-side, in maybe something like a 4 wide by 8/12/16 cells long. This could be one, or two cells high. Anyway, I'm always looking for easier ways to build a123-based packs.

It would also give you a better idea of how many PCB's and parts to order at a time.
Maybe not a realistic suggestion given other circumstances and goals, but it sure would be nice if your site allowed it.
Regardless, Thanks for providing such an open and well thought out product for the community! I look forward to being able to place my order.

magudaman said:I know the design stage is really pretty much complete but it would be really cool to be able to throw larger shunt resistors on the board and have the option to kick a fan on when balancing starts. What is the limitation of the shunt resistor current, the small fets up the line? Do you have the part list so I could see how much it would cost me to do a board only setup?
For 22 cells, can I use the ready-made LVC and lvc/bms kit, connected together for balancing & charging? if yes, how is it wired/configured?

Are you sending confirmations when the orders go out? Thanks!

Don't want to sound pushy, but are the first batch of kits out?
Anyone get theirs yet?

I am so sorry for the delay. This new job has just had me swamped for the last week, including the weekend. I don't get home before about 9 or 10, and I've just been too wiped out to do much with the kits, more than adding a few more parts. It is easier to bag/label all the parts for all the kits, so I'm afraid none are complete, so none have gone out yet. It is a LOT more labor than I thought it would be, but I still feel I'm just one good day away from getting all of them out the door. The immediate crisis I'm dealing with at the job has to be complete by tomorrow, so I know I will have this weekend to get these out, and maybe start putting together the next batch. For the latter, I'm not going to enable them on the website until I actually have kits put together.
Again, I apologise for the delay, and I will totally understand if anybody wants to cancel their order, and get their money back. Just let me know.
