I love those disc brakes.

Nicely done. For people who feel anyone using a powerboard is the height of laziness, there are hilly towns like San Francisco where parking is difficult to find and very expensive when accomplished. These are light enough to sling over your shoulder when walking, small enough to store anywhere (in your office cubicle? your apartment?).

If I was a college student, my fist choice would still be an E-bike, but a powerboard would be a close second...

Long distance 10-20 miles ebike's would be a great choice. However, short 5-10 miles and the need to go on packed commuter trains eBoards win for portability. However 20+ miles -- I'd enjoy a bike. The ebikes are just annoying to fit on packed trains though.

Those disc brakes are awesome most of the time not needed unless going down real steep steep hills. Definitely adds to the cost of the board.

They actually visited me in Sweden two weeks ago and made a video about that when we went for rides and were hacking in my basement. I have also visited Sune in Denmark twice so far. Going there takes 3-4 hours by car, which is quite close. I have been helping out a bit with electronics and interfacing the VESC over uart from arduino/teensy.

All boards in this videos are using VESCs :)

Yes its printable, but it will melt if/when the motor heats up beyond 60-70 degrees C if printed with ABS or PLA. It is 3d printed in alumide that can resist much higher temperatures.

Really cool

So it uses stock Onda Core deck and Onda Trucks?

I was going to do a custom Onda Longa board but may have to switch to Core PEV.

Onda is selling the Core again for $159

Yes, Sergio from onda motion and me reordered a batch of decks especially for our builds.

The motor mount is a two piece unit, one for the motor, and one for the axle. This design is specifically made for our Spine/Research PEV and fits the Onda Core.

Alumide is not printable by a normal "home" printer, but we can supply the brackets or they can be ordered online for a small cost.
