What voltage areyou running and what top speeds do you obtain loaded/unloaded?

Is it that weak or did you expect big power out of it.
Had a few 128s from them. With 15s lipo they were great, till they blew the gears.
You won't get much out of a water bottle. ..
6 fet controller is whet, 15amps or 12?

It sounds a little like the battery isn't balanced yet. If it cut out before and better now, maye the battery is starting to balance.
Don't expect it to be a rocket like 3/4 of the builds on ES. It's an assist type setup not a power system. you need a bigger battery and controller to get any performance out of it. Then it will cause the motor to overheat if riden for a few miles.
It's a nice looking build but not a powercycle.
Are you sure the phase wire combo is correct? If wrong you get high current draw with low performance. Dose the controller have a self lean wire? Check wiring then try it again.
