Ok, after talking with Ford, here were the specs on the Think Bicycle

• Electric *power-assisted* bicycles
• Made in Taiwan
• Top speed of about 16 MPH, requires some degree of pedaling by the rider
• Cost $1,000 to $1,200 back in 2002
• 24 volt system

They certainly aren't rare, they were being sold all over the place in 2002. Ford has sold many, many thousands of these electric bicycles.
