Make a bike into an ebike?

A totally different question - where can I buy a good but not too expensive helmet? Just FYI, I'm boycotting Target, Amazon. Bike store? Are they all the same?

Helmets with the same certification all offer about the same protection. It's likely that cheap ones provide slightly better protection than expensive ones, because they haven't been carefully engineered to barely pass the tests while maximizing airflow or minimizing weight or drag.

If you have a community bike shop/co-op nearby, get one there. They're almost always a great bargain and they all do good in the world.

I don't know what you mean by too expensive, but West VA U has a testing program and rated a Specialized $50 helmet highly; you could look for the test on YouTube.
