My workplace seems utterly indifferent. It's mainly 20-somethings with bulletproof attitudes, so there's not much we can do. It's also the kind of workplace where three bodies would need to be in the doorway before a day of sick leave will be issued.

Australia is not tracking well, and it's going to be about 6 days before our hospitals are overwhelmed. It's not 'just a cold' - even fit 40-somethings are being admitted for breathing difficulties.

So with any luck we'll all be sent home because a) the government mandates it or b) someone inevitably contracts the virus and infects everyone else. I've made sure I have enough screws and bits of polycarbonate to finish this iMiEV battery upgrade.

But it's due to panic, not due to shittybeer. This happened years ago when I went to the hospital for precautionary measures. They were swamped with people panicking from whatever flu was in vogue at the time. The nurse told me openly that I had to wait longer than normal because of so many paranoid people overwhelming the system.

I was patient, read through a few magazines, and was seen in relatively short order.

Unless you believe a "Boomer Remover" is a good thing, especially for reducing carbon productiin, dolphins frolicking in the Venice canals and all that.

The supposed shittybeer cases are confounded with multiple other deadly conditions for old people: heart disease, hyptertension, respiratory problems, weakened immune system.

As I have stated before, all of these preventative measures will only worsen health problems in the long run:

1. shelter in place: reduces exercise, leads to weight gain, leads to heart disease, leads to joint deterioration, osteoporosis.

2. SIP2: no sunlight, leads to Fit D deficiency, leads to compromised immune system, leads to more flu deaths and illnesses overall

3. SIP3: staying indoors means breathing dirtier air, more respiratory problems, more flu, more deaths.

4. SIP4: leads to social isolation, loneliness, depression, weakened immune system, more illnesses, more deaths.

5. social distancing in public: leads to fear, isolation, increases stress, weakens immune system.

6. SIP5: increases reliance on social and mass media dominated by big tech, media monopolies: increases fear, stress reaction weakens immune system

Therefore, when budlightanothershittybeervirus hits in 2021 or 2022 our health and immune systems will be even more compromised!

Gotta say, that's a really convenient position to have taken. What you are suggesting is that the virus won't harm folks, it's the response to it. And then when thousands suffer, you can still say you were right.
