So the big sign appeared on the door of a restaurant, like most downtown it's more of a bar, not all that crowded until dinner is over and it's time to DRINK. But now they have "Suspended" on their door, courtesy of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control. I'm sure they don't know, they're closed for the duration. Good time to get a 28 day loss of license out of the way. Wonder if everything will be closed until they get their license back.

But I really wish I could get caught up in some total time wasting video game right now. Just not what I'm into.

Industrial pollution and old age killing old Italians. Media hoaxers blame shittymexicanbeerhoaxvirus instead:

Italy, which has one the world’s oldest populations, could be facing a higher mortality rate as a result of its above-average elderly population. “Italy is the oldest country in the oldest continent in the world,” says Lorenzo Casani, the health director of a clinic for elderly people in Lombardy told TIME. “We have a lot of people over 65.”

On one hand... but on the other.

Just stay home if you're sick people. Don't force their hand.

News just said that six hundred someodd people died in Italy within the past day. (Sorry for the someodd, my eyes glazed over when I heard six hundred and I missed it.)

Because of underlying health conditions, toxic pollution, and old age.

Hoaxers gotta hoax!

They tried removing natural selection by nerfing the world, but natural selection has other plans. Darwinism at work.

...but not in the way some might think.

Thinking back to the 3 hours I spent in the kids play area with my wife and son back in January, where I believe that I picked up this virus for the first time...

The crowd was mostly what you would expect for this area. Chinese, East Indian, Filipino. Except on that day, before any of this Coronavirus stuff was even a thought in my mind, I remember wondering why there were so many Russians in the mall. There was a group in the play area, 2 women with Children. The men kept coming back and leaving. Nothing remarkable about that in and of itself but I clearly remember that when I made eye contact with the women their faces looked similar to how one might look after realizing a cop had just seen them do something illegal. Wide eyed and fearful, and there was no good reason for that. Everyone carried on, but they were there when I got there, they were still there when I left 3 hours later, and they weren't the only ones in the mall. The kids play area is right next to an exit that dumps out on to a small and infrequently used upper level of a parkade and on that day there were multiple small groups of people, young families, young couples, walking past with an inordinate number of them speaking Russian amongst themselves. Yeah, there is a Russian community here so coming across Russian people isn't particularly unusual, but on that day there were enough small groups of them that I ended up discussing it with my wife when we got back to the car. Nothing negative about that conversation at the time, just that I was surprised to see that many Russians there.

Correlation is not causation, but let's consider some stuff anyway.

If a group were going to unleash this they'd want to divert blame. No one would question that is was China if it appeared there first. Unleash it there first.

Russians don't seem fond of Communism. They seem even less fond of rich smug pricks and their false sense of security. They know it all hangs by a thread.

Russia's economy is so far behind the curve they have no chance of obtaining wealth through production, despite having many bright hard working citizens.
They just can't compete with Chinese prices, like the rest of us.

If they can poison the world against China then offer similar service for a slightly higher cost, they can clean up.

They started their own intranet and are working to sever ties with the internet. Most claimed it was to censor free speech, but it's just as likely they're doing it to keep prying non-Russian eyes out.

Their reported Covid numbers are a lie and their government is not being forthcoming through all of this whatsoever.

You have people across multiple social media platforms downplaying the seriousness of this. Some won't even call the virus by name, mocking it and it's potential for harm. They downplay the risk and encourage people to ignore the advice from medical professionals. Those who heed their advice continue the spread and effectiveness of this pandemic. Some of these people have only been members of these communities for a short time before this all hit, mixing in at first, yet becoming seemingly well educated voices of dissidence. Stirring the pot, breeding fear and resentment, pushing us to tear each other apart while they sit back and laugh at the fallout. In English, largely from North American IP's.

Et al.

They've been online stirring the pot in our native tongue, spreading divisiveness, watching us tear ourselves apart and laughing amongst themselves. This is nothing new. They have managed to effect social change within our society that the majority may not actually agree with, yet have come to accept. For the lulz.

As for the Virus, the large number of Russians on that particular day. Who can say? They were young. Asymptomatic carriers? Inoculated yet contagious? The virus mutates. I had it in January, I have it again now. My symptoms are slower to progress and less severe than they were but based on my experience I believe that it can be caught more than once so some form of mutation is likely. Makes it more pervasive, harder to whack down. Keeps us indoors and in our own heads, losing our freedom and our minds.

If it was all an intentional state sponsored act who's to say whether intentionally infected patient(s) zero might have no symptoms, perhaps even some protection from the effects, some of which they pass on to the next generation of infect-ee. Perhaps those protections are from a slightly less infectious symbiotic virus that doesn't hop from person to person quite so easily. That would be something, wouldn't it?

No links. No proof. Not enough tin foil to waste on hats, but as I said earlier...

Russia is Tyler Durden, and this is Fight Club.

Prove me wrong.

It's a hoax. Go get some fresh air and sunshine. Enjoy life.

We have a big yard, the weather is beautiful, and I haven't spent a full day inside in recent memory. I'm keeping my distance from others though, and others would be well advised to do the same for the foreseeable future.

At risk nationalities back then thats for sure. Even today they would be more at risk and be well advised to stay well away. Not that it might matter or not, no data but common sense is common sense.

Yup dont want to be touching the debit machine. Just tap and go. Often when a bum asks if I have any change, I will say sorry buddy I only got 100 dollar bills. I am a big guy so I can do shit like that.

My doods if this thing goes south we could possibly be facing extinction. A doctor of all people decided to give his hospital bed to a civilian whom needed it at that moment. Knowing he was going to die to save a person that can’t doctor others that are sick. Is beyond me right now he surrendered, with absolutely no gain. Is that rationally thinking for a our front line medic todo? He saw no W in the future to just give up? Holly shit man this is bad.

You will need more of it, especially if you are not working. Lots will resort to picking bottles for fear of eviction, increasing the risk of contracting the virus. Some resort to begging in the middle of a road at a turn light, card board sign stating "havent eaten in a week" then you tell them about shelters and they smile, too proud to hit the soup line. I knew one guy like that, would rather sleep in his car then ask for help.

Lotto Corps are resorting to online purchases of tix. Winning the big jackpot and no where to go. In Alberta you have to go up to St Albert which is basically Edmonton, luckily there are some flights everyday but Westjet is cutting back. Long haul buses are still going with adjusted schedules and probably half capacity for spacing. I personally would have the funds for a $800/hr helicopter ride and a taxi ride. Say 2 or 3 hrs. Even if I get the jackpot, no where to go in the world. Ideally Australia but they are being hit hard. Sure start buying homes, ranches, trucks.

We all have the opportunity to buy things on the online classifieds for cheap as people will start selling their shit in order to make rent. Governments said they wont legally enforce evictions.
I bet we will start seeing big ticket items going for cheap!
Auctions would be the place to go, but they have crowds but the alternative is those auctions are having online auctions. Downside is you cant kick the tires, or maybe you can by going to the lot and kicking them weeks/days before the auction.

If you are in the market for a boat, or new/newer vehicles the time has come to keep an eye out in the online classifieds and see if the auctions in your area have online auctions.
