I barely know anything. But I do know that there have been significant advances in drilling technology. Sideways drilling, fracking, etc... And I know that the center of the earth is hot af and made out of liquid iron, lava and other super hot stuff. And I know that there is this thing called "geothermal energy".
So it seems to me that the advances in drilling technology should have made it more financially feasible to drill down to the lava, set-up some kind of heat exchanger down there, pump water into the hot, hot earth, and spin electricity-generating turbines with the resultant steam. I have a DREAM people, and it's beautiful. However these scientists are not cooperating, and realizing my dream for me. Also big coal, big natural gas, big wind and big solar are all part of the conspiracy to force us into our current energy dystopia, and of course Standard Oil bought the critical patent necessary to make this whole dream happen, and refuse to acknowledge that it even exists. We must rally, people, in order to make this dream happen.
Why CAN'T we just dig a hole, pump water into it, and generate electricity. It seems quite simple and obvious in my own mind. Please do not disrupt this delicate mental balance I have constructed, lest you cause this dream I have to die forever. Instead I would like affirmative and positive messages that go something along the lines of "Si Se Puede!", and statements about how substantial government funding can usher in this new nirvana. We're AmeriCANS here, and not AmeriCAN'Ts.
