Free Heizmann DC front hub motor, first on the market, robust motors. Heinzemann is still in the ebike market. The motor has god starting torque and delivered 1,000W (continuous rating 500W). Either my dc controller or a wiring connection failed and I upgraded to an ac hub motor. Free dc controller and 2x 2017 48V Ezee batteries (5Ah capacity remains in each),and a rail to attach the batteries to the rear luggage rack.20241231_144552.jpgAh capacity each. Just pay for postage from Port McNeill. BC, Canada, V0N 2R0.

I use a similar Heinzmann hub motor on my sidecar chair bike, and it exceeds expectations. I love that 25 years ago, you could buy a hub motor with an integrated torque arm that China still hasn't caught up to.

Nice museum piece, hope it finds a loving home!

Heinzmann is still in Business, but they do a lot other things nowadays
Every time I drive into the Black Forest towards my most loved winding roads, I can see that they are still alive.

Torque arm looks tiny, but still better than a flattened axle in drop outs, ha:

Wouldn't DC mean there are brushes that wear out and have to be replaced by opening the motor up?
