Hi all and thank you in advance

I had ACs freewheel with 64mm distance between screw holes.
but i see ACS don't produce them anymore
Anyway i need a pair of them o r something high quality
Do you know where i can find sometthing, i can't find where to buy
thank you

Electric scooter parts has the cheap ones like what comes with the cyclone.

Staton sells the white industry units that are very high quality but expensive.

I believe they all suffer from the problem of uneven loading when transmitting power while freewheeling.

Sick bike parts was selling a high quality dual bearing unit which is the strongest one I know of. They are out of business but ES user Pablo was selling 6 remaining units last year. Maybe he has some left. I believe this unit did not have the sideloading problem like the others.

If you really want to take your chances with quality, Here are some I found on amazon that come with a sprocket. They seem suspiciously cheap to be of any quality.

Good luck.

I’ll sell you one of the strong sick bike parts freewheels or a white industry one as well if anyone is interested. I didn’t use them but did drill and thread the white industry one but shouldn’t effect its use.

I ended up making a “freewheel” that suited my needs better. I skipped making the ratchet mechanism but am making some more and want to add the ratchet this time..if anyone has advice. As it is I’ll just model it on these two. With my bike having 20t in front and 72t in rear there’s almost no point in pedaling other than keeping control at a stop light.

I’ll sell the sick one for 10$ less than was sold and the white industries for 50$
Assuming I can find leaf springs and find or get pawls made cheaply

Did you make the flanged bodies and just press in the ratchet portions of an existing freewheel? Do you have some more details in a thread.

I have often thought about making my own as well but I feel like the precise hardness and metallurgy is something that the major manufacturers have already spent a lot on. I'd hate to fund that part with my own time and money. I have always wanted one with a ratchet large enough to allow the inside portion to mount to a 44mm brake rotor flange for left side drives.

Am I remembering it correctly that the SBP UHD freewheel has a bearing on each side of the ratchet for support rather than just a single bearing?

I made a freewheel that has no ratchet. I barely could pedal with the gear ratio I use but want to add the ratchet next time.

I forget the freewheel details but it mounts the smallest chainring bcd and a bolt on pulley wheel. It has two larger spaced bearings like the sick one. I don’t really need a strong ratchet as the power doesn’t use it and would only be for going 3mph at stop lights
