Hey all,

I have a GMC Denali 26" that I use to get to class and back. I have to deal with a bunch of hills and I'd love to be able to have electric assist on my way back and forth.
My main requirements are that I can go 4-5 miles without having to pedal all that much, and that the battery isn't gigantic. I'd be able to charge it every night, so range isn't too much of an issue for me.

All the ebikes that I've seen are on mountain bike frames, and with much more expensive bikes. I know what I have isn't ideal, but I was wondering if it was even possible.

I've seen a bunch of kits on ebay/amazon, but I'm not sure if they're any good, and even if so, would they fit on my bike. I've also seen certain kits mentioned but I'm not sure where to get them, since they appear to be Chinese.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Buy a yescomusa kit.

Well it looks like they got batteries for sale now

Snatch up the 48V 1000W, atleast now all 3 are available. Dont wait around for the batteries to back in order. Last time one of their 48V 1kw kits was sold out for like a year.

So I googled a GMC Denali, and saw a lot of 700C road bikes. When you say 26" do you mean it is a 26" frame?

Easiest way to control a road bike would be with PAS, but other users have mounted throttles on drop bars. A search for "drop bars throttle" will give results. A bit of ingenuity should get a thumb throttle on the bars somehow.

A battery over 6Ah would do it, bottle batteries come in around 9Ah.
You may need to theft proof it.
