Go One Evo R Parts, or Advice

I recently purchased a Go One Evo R, from CyclesJV.com and I'm having serious issues with that center steering column. The issue isn't the actual steering device itself, rather the accuracy, and touchiness of the steering, and major looseness in the steering at times.

I have a engineer friend working on a delryn part for the universal joint in the steering column that was worn down but there is still a slight bit of play in the stearing, aside from the part thats reworked. Basicly I want to know who or where I can find the company that is producing the new Go One Evo R Hybrids, so I can purchase new parts for this bike. As they discontinued it in 2012, its almost unheard of seeing for sale. There was only around 15 ever made.

Welcome to the forum. As far as I know, Go One is still in business happily selling Velos. their website is up for business and the latest copywrite is 2017. Best bet is to contact them.

Thanks for replying Drunk Skunk, but unfortunatly, Go One has no support. They refuse to help me even tho I bought one of their bikes. Go One is one of the worst Velomobile industries in the world.

I was told dirrectly by the President of Go One to go to a "bike shop" in my area for parts. I wanted a complex transmission that could add speed to the bikes top speed, instead they told me to piss off.

I dont know who else to turn to. I found a video of a Go One Varrient I want mine to function like but no idea how to contact the youtuber since he doesnt reply to posts at all.

Sounds like you may have to make your own parts or adapt off-the-shelf parts.

I've been trying to post pictures but this site doesnt allow pics more than 512 KB, which is horrible. I dont have software to lower the quality or data size to images. I think thats kinda messed up. Most images taken by phones these days are 1-2 MB and most people dont have software to change the images. I dont feel like downloading programs just to post images on this site cuz they can't keep up with the times of technology.

I came here for help, unless the site managers can fix the content size of the images you can post.

I use a somewhat old fashioned Digital Camera, it allows by way of a few button presses in the settings menu , for me to take pictures that places like Craigslist, and Endless-sphere will allow.

BTW the world needs more options for Velomobiles . Especially for riding on public roads, like a little wider , a little taller, a little longer, more budget minded shells , all this is quite doable when using electric assist, since we do not to squeeze out every last watt of leg power . I would think that with a 100-150 pound chassis , that even 500-750 watts of electric assist would give us enough to be able to drive a Elio size ( but lighter weight ) type of velomobile .

Regarding pictures, there is a thread at the top of each forum list called Adding Pictures with a number of methods to post images, either directly uploading or linking to an image-hosting site.


FWIW, most of the cameras I've used on phones have an option for what resolution to take the pictures in (and often make pics that are 4+mb at their default, but can make ones as small as 128kb depending on the settings). Often these options are right there in teh camera app, with the little "gear" shape for settings.

This is the universal joint I am having issues with, however it will be delt with soon. What I would like to know is if there are any companies out there producing the new Hybrid Go One Evo R, I cant find them on the internet anywhere. Its electric, with very creative features like the hinged lid, lights, and a very well done canopy seal. It also features many electric components that I dont have access to.

Where did you hear of them? That would be the first place I'd check with--find out where *they* got their info, and then follow that chain.

If they are not on the internet, then most likely it is a one-person (or small group) operation just doing conversions of existing ones, or perhaps making their own copies. Might be just a single conversion by the owner (but didn't find it on EVAlbum).

While I don't know much about them, I've seen some discussions about them (was interested in making something similar at one time). Unfortunately I haven't heard of anyone other than the original manufacturer in Europe making them (if they licensed someone else to do it, they probably would list them on their own site; if they didn't license them then that's probably one reason to not be able to find them on the internet, as it would make it one step harder to get caught making/selling unlicensed copies).


I'm pretty good with search engines, and I didn't find any info about a hybrid version at all.



As far as adding a transmission goes, you could probably add an IGH as a jackshaft between the pedals and the rear hub, perhaps in a way similar to how I did that on the SB Cruiser trike (see the linked thread in my signature, a few pages before the last one). I did it to get lower gearing, but it can be done easily to get higher gearing instead.


Lights are easy enough, depending on what you want. There's a number of threads around here with various lighting options and wiring/powering info, if you poke around. My various build threads show a few options for DIY type stuff, though there's not a lot of detail other than pics, as it's unlikely you'd have the exact parts I ran across in each situation.

This video has the new Hybrid Go One Evo R. I talked to another guy on youtube who has a Go One Evo K, and had done extensive modifications to his bike, and knew the guys who did this bike but the guy stopped responding to posts on his videos, and I can't get the Dave guy on the video above to respond at all either. So I'm screwed till he replies

that he may have done all his own work on it, including etching his own PCBs for the lights.

If he did that he'd certainly be capable of doing all the rest of the stuff himself.

Based on his posts I'm pretty sure he's done all of the conversion work himself, and there is no company out there building these other than the original (which is why there is no info to be found).

For me, it was that little carpet in the front foot well that tipped me off. That's defiantly davevelo's Velo. He's a member of this forum.
