Google Maps Setting Route Manually?

I'm in the middle of plotting a route in Google Maps. I'm plotting using the blue line that traces your route. I drag the end of the line forward depending on down which road I want to travel.

The problem I'm having is when I get to a certain point and drag the end of the line forward, some of the route behind the edge of the blue line alters to a different road, changing some of my previously plotted road route.

Question: How can I set to 'fixed' every part of my route behind the forward edge of the blue line? I don't want Google to adjust anything for me. I want to set my route manually exactly where I want it to go.

Thanks for any help.

P.S. I am past the point where Google Maps would let me start a new destination and then connect it backwards. For some reason, it won't let me do that anymore which was how I got around their auto adjusting before.

I have had similar problems with my google maps routing. Its been years now, but I think my problem was the road was one way, or sometimes I would be zoomed too far out when moving the line. There are some quirks google maps has.

hmm..thanks…i tried zooming in all the way then dragging the line forward but it still changes the route if try to go forward.

I figured it out but, man, was that a headache.

There were two trailing destination points (white circles) that I needed to manipulate forward. These control the auto movement of the previous parts of the route. They act like hinges for where the route will auto adjust as you move the leading end of your route forward. If they are positioned before a new side street, they will bend the route in that direction. But if you move them past any side roads the route can't bend at those points and it shouldn't alter your route.
