I have built 2 e bikes using all grin parts ....I ran into some odd problems on my latest build (which I was able to resolve without any response from Grin)..I was just wondering if others have had similar issues of zero response to multiple emails..

Thanks Homer

When did you start asking for support?? while i agree ideally it shouldn't have any relevance, but...

I have noticed Grin tech support has a tendency to skim questions..and ask questions already answered in the original support request…Then each restatement of the correspondence translates into days of back and forth emails…However even this sometimes protracted process is much better than no response at all..…

I notice people come here every spring to complain about all kinds of major vendors.
Their problem is, everyone simultaneously decides to build an ebike at approximately the same time. This is a really bad time to order anything, anywhere.

It's why i do a decent amount of building in winter, i know that if i don't get my order in by feb, i'm stuck in the queue with everyone else.

GOOD POINT.. I REALIZE GRIN IS MORE ABOUT THE END USER BEING SOMEWHAT SAVY..AND I HAVE A LOT OF MOTORCYCLE/AUTO EXPERIENCE..HOWEVER THERE ARE AREAS THAT THE NEW BUILDER NEEDS TO BE XTRA DELIGENT..SO I THINK THAT GRIN COULD BE A BIT BETTER IN CREATING AWARENESS IN THOSE AREAS WITH CERTAIN HUBS..

Grin’s competitors for selling DIY ebike components are places like aliexpress, eBay, Amazon, pswpower, or Luna. So among their competitors, where do they rank when it comes to creating awareness? Their site certainly contains more information than all of them combined. This site provides more awareness than any other site in the world. To me that makes Grin the number one company creating unbiased awareness on all things EV.

I agree that Grin is very much at the front of the competitors you listed and a probably a few you didn't.. an example of what I was trying to convey would be this//..I have built two bikes both with gmac hubs... the build pictured above has very thick drop outs that by default aid in creating room for the L1019 wire.. My second build.. A 1960's beach cruiser frame has half the thickness and required a fabricated spacer plate and I still had to file a larger relief hole in the torque arm at the wire exit...Had I been a first time user there is no doubt the wire would have been damaged..so there should be considerable warnings on the actual new motor to warn of a possible issue..

When you do a good job, folks will only expect more. There are no such expectations for those who do a crappy job. Just like in the workplace, if you do great work, your reward is more work. No good deed goes unpunished.
The information/experience you shared may be valuable to others in the future so thanks for sharing it.
