Until they slam on the brakes............

trucks are very sluggish so you should have enough time to brake if you keep an eye on their brakelights.
but right, the gap between Allex and the truck is really small..

22 days total, 7 days on camp - 15 days of riding. 400...600km per riding day (except Chelyabinsk-Miass and Ufa-Oktyabrskoe - about 200 km)

Awesome trip Evan, Alex, et al. Let me know when you guys start planning a month or 2 trek out to the far east. I have a good friend in Svobodny, at least I think that's the city, something like a 6 day train ride to Moscow. It's high time I take a journey like that. How difficult is it to find opportunity charging once you get away from the cities?

Regarding following so close, the guys around here don't have bikes that can keep up with trucks, so they have no idea how close you have to get to be out of the turbulence and into a spot where drafting really pays off.

Since you guys had a couple of recumbents in the group, how big was the difference in energy consumption compared to the more upright bikes. Any data on avg wh/km for the whole trip for each bike. In addition to comfort, I'm wondering how much more benefit they enjoy.

Twice more economical at 50 km\h (700...900w vs 1500...1700w). So I traveled reclining. And so much more comfortable

Finding a charge socket is pretty easy. People are friendly and let you charge up your bike at a coffee stop or a car repair shop and you have many to choose from along the road.

Impressive efficiency advantage and it looks like you were carrying a lot more load than the other bikes.

I need advice from you experienced recumbent guys for the geometry for a recumbent that's safe and stable above 100kph but doesn't turn into a wandering svin'ya at low speed.

ivanov, do you use a special saddle or where do you sit when you let the legs hanging over the fork?
Was it comfortable?
4500km are impressive.

Hm, I just do not get how you can drive like that, must be a pain to hold up your head like that constantly? Probably be okay if you had some kind of support for the head.

this looks not very comfortable more like you make workout on the bike - did you try sit-ups? :)

Sweet ebike! Do you guys make your own fenders using simply a flat material, or do you buy them? Is that more aerodynamic than common shapes or just more simple?
