Has anyone tried cheap Brushed DC Motors?

There's not much brushed motor setups. Everything is brushless.

Ahem! :D

Although you're gonna need a bigger motor than that.

That brushed motor draws a 10th of the current compared to an E-Flite Power 90 Brushless Outrunner, but the Physical size and Max Torque is similar (...or is my calcs wrong?)

B.T.W. How do you calculate FLT (Full Load Torque) on a brushless outrunner? I assume it has something to do with the KV, supply voltage and Max Current... Anyone?

I'm looking at the following brushed dc motor and driver combo to drive a longboard:

Motor:
http://www.mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=82M0073

Driver:
http://netram.co.za/974-motor-driver-15a.html

I assume a single motor setup will be a bit un-eventful, but will a dual motor setup work on 6s?

Any links to brushed motor build threads? I assume this setup will be a bit loud though...

You will assume a brushed motor noise? You will want to go brushless late or soon on a longboard
