Hi, I am new to this forum, and I apologize if this post is not “where it is supposed to be”
I own a Bh emotion electric bike. I want to create a micro USB charger to feed of the battery. To do this I need to create a cable with a voltage converter for downregulating the voltage. The idea is basically to reproduce the cable they supply with their gps tracker for the same purpose. Here I need some help:
I need to find the female plug fitting the male plug in attached photo - does anyone know what it is called or where to get it?
I need a proper voltage converter, should be small in size as it must fit inside the bike frame. To find this I guess I need to use a multimeter on the plug feeding of the battery(plug in the picture) right?
I need to assemble this cable and isolate the endings (how?)
Thanks in advance for all replies
Best regards

What voltage range does your bike's battery have? Meaning, when it is nearly empty, what voltage is it, and when it is full, what voltage is it?

If it's in the 50v+ range, it's very likely that a regular wall-plug-in usb charger would work on it. Just wire from the battery's + to one of the AC prongs, and from the battery's - to the other AC prong.

I don't know what that connector is called, but if you don't normally connect anything to it on the bike, you could just replace the connector with something else (or even connect it directly to the input of the USB charger, if it's on the switched side of the battery power; add a switch if it's not).

What ? I have ran a hair dyer on a slightly overcharged 42v charged pack to bring it down fast. I have 80v charged battery can it run a harbor freight 110v ploe saw. Will it melt the saw ? I can hook my phone charger to my 80v battery or use the 40v split wiire ?

Huh? :?:

I'm confused. How does that relate to running a USB charger off an ebike battery, or anything that's in the OP's post?

Run the 5v off your BEC to your micro USB cable. Make sure to select 5v and not 5.5v

Thanks for the tip, what about this one:
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/321968232795

Will it do the same, I want it to power a GPS tracking unit for my bike which uses microusb.
