(HELP) New project motor candidates

Hello.
I'm starting a new project, which is an electric go kart.
I need to decide between these candidates:
- HPM5000B goldenmotor with KLS7245N Kelly controller @48V (around 1000€) peak power: 8,5kw
- LMX 60mm motor with KBS72181AE (KBS 180A) @48V (around 750€) peak power: 6,3kw
I pretend to build a reliable and fast kart, and also (if possible with the correct gearing) drift it.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Get a QS 138-90H instead:

The 70H version is used by members here up to 15kW peaks in acceleration so the 90H will be even more savage. Ask them (QS Motors) what controller they advise with the motor.
Or get a Nucular 24F if you can wait that long: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75494. That controller is highly rated on E-S and can do peak power up to 20kW.

Let QS-Motors declare the value a lot lower (half so it's still believable) to get the import taxes down. Import taxes should be known for entering Spain (EU) if you inquire with your customs department. Sometimes certain classes of parts have lower tax values.

You can “drift” almost any kart,... irrispective of power or gearing.... by using the right tyres.
Extreme example is the , front wheel drive, low powered, drift trikes .
