HELLO guys im new to this forum and building with electric motors i was bored began doing some searching and came across these moutainboards. ive always been a speed junkie and what the heck i decided to build one my self, im at total noob when it comes to this, i have picked out a motor for it i will be using the sk3 6364 190kv motor im not sure if i should go dual or single to start. where i need help is trying to get batteries, charger, and controller for it , i was also reading that i might need to get some sort of voltage monitor for it as well. all the help i can get will be greatly appreciated. i have already bought the board ill be using a mbs board, if anyone has any ideas how to mount the motor. everything is welcomed pictures as well.

For speed - Dual 12S ESC from AlienESC. 12S Setup with (2) 6374mm's. Read around, there's a ton of info here for you to learn from.

I'm kinda new too but I think you should read the sticky on longboard build. A lot of the parts there are also good for mountainboards.
1) you'll need a ESC. Make sure the amps meet the motor specs
2) batteries most common setup 6s 5000mah
3) Radio system
These are just the electronics. For The actual board and mount you have to look around and see what fits you the best.
But definitely read the first thread.

There's a few people on here that have built emountain boards. They also have mounts for sale if you didn't want to fabricate your own. They most of the time are chain driven as they can deal more with the beating of offroad rather than belts.

From what it looks like is if you have a powerful enough ESC with higher amp rating then you can use it to power a 2nd motor. Check the end of this thread here for more research - http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=55119&start=25.
If you are running 2x 6S 5000mah. You can run in parallel and have 10,000mah 6S and/or in series and have 12S 5000mah. However, if you do 12S you would need an ESC that works with 12S. I personally prefer the 3S 5000mah or 8000mah ZIPPY Flightmax batteries as they are real thin at about 25mm's. Just under an inch. I would then just pair them together in whatever setup you need 2P2S, etc.

You can buy another EZ Run Pro 150A from ValueHobby about $90 shipped in US. I think it's this connector here for the Y connector - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9690__jr_y_servo_lead_30cm_length_5pcs_bag_.html. You simply just connect both the ESCs to the y connector and the 1 end of the y connector to the receiver.

im trying to run a dual motor setup ive already mounted both motors in place i hooked it up and one motor its working the other the red light its going on off im running two turniny 190 kv and 2 ezrun 150a escs i have a hobby king 2.4 ghz remote and ideas do i have to add something to run dual

Definitely what Psychotiller says. You'll need a y-connector to hook two ESCs to one rx.

It's a Y Servo & Extension lead. You have to remove one of the red ones that you plug into the esc wires on one of them. Use a xacto and put the pin down and pull through.

You really have only one of the two ESC connected to the receiver?
As far as y cables are concerned, you might find them in a remote control model shop, especially if they deal with planes
