Help Picking a Sensorless Controller (Non-programmable)

Ok I need a controller that doesn't require hall sensors (mine are fried, or wiring is shorted - don't want to mess with either way, hard to access).

Also need something fairly cheap, and that will ideally accommodate both the stock 24V10ah and an upgraded 36V10ah battery (doesn't have to do it perfectly, stats are at bottom).

My motor is 250W or 300W bafang (uncertain).

I talked to Leo at Greentime and I'm thinking of getting this:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...c-Bike-Speed-Controller/313864_546333126.html
Except that it would be 36V and have a 21V low voltage cut off. It would def be sensorless.
Rate voltage: 36V
Rate power: 500W
Rate current: 30A
Under-voltage protection: DC21V
Current limited:30A±0.5A

Leo said this should work but might not be good for the battery pack? if paired with my 250W/300W motor?

The other option is similar but its a 17amp controller and with a lower power rating, 250W I think... They don't have this in stock right now anyway... would first option really be bad for battery?

My heads kind of spinning with all this so help is appreciated : )

Here are my battery specs:

The 24/26V:
Normal Voltage 25.9V
Nominal Capacity 10Ah
Max Discharge Current 19A
Nominal Discharge Current 10A

The 36V:
Normal Voltage:36Volts
Capacity: 10Ah
Maximal Continuous Discharge C-Rate: 15A
Maximal Discharge Current: 30A

Why must it be Non Programable? seems a bit odd

He only seems to have sensored on e on his e-bay pages, but I am sure if you ask him he can source a Sensorless version

Will sensorless work well with a gearmotor? It didn't when I tried it.

Because of the clutch, I had lots of jerky starts. Sensorless starts much better if the motor is rolled forward only about a half inch while apply the throttle. With the clutch, the motor would freewheel when I pushed off to get started.

It can work, although as you noted it can be jerky start sometimes. The latest Fusin 1000W splined-cassette motor is sensorless, and it worked well enough for me on the bike and the trike, with occasional false starts but it self-corrects.
