Help, VBMS erroneous temperature values

Hey, i'm running an ant smart bms with the VBMS app and i'm getting some weird readings from temp sensors 1 and 2, which i don't believe are even connected within my battery. when the battery is under load (even just the controller on but idle) they both drop down and display a value of -30C but when the bms is disconnected from a load they jump up into the 80s and 90s before (very) slowly dropping. Because of this the battery runs just fine until I kill the controller and then the battery switches off due to "over heating". i can feel that the battery is cool to the touch so it's not actually getting super hot. is there any way that i can switch off either the temperature sensors or even just the overheat cutoff?

Was this before or after the overvoltage event from regen?
