How does Grin stay in business?

I noticed that if I’m only buying one thing, like Statorade, or a torque arm, I can still get it off Amazon for the same cost or lower and I get it in 2 days. The Grin V5 torque arm is $34.99 from Amazon, plus tax, so less than $40. From Grin, with shipping, it’s $40.86. Statorade on Amazon is still the same price as the last time I bought it a year ago. I figure Amazon might be a good barometer for whether anything has changed.

Regarding tariffs.. I purchased some electronic parts last week and there was an additional line when purchasing right after tax that had the tarriffs. It's a pain since unlike tax, it's hard to know what the rate is before you get to the point of paying and different items had different rates...

They definitely have a very loyal fan base. I've made several purchases myself because they are local and wanted to support them. However i don't really fit into their market as my last 5 motor purchases have been mid drives and the satiator is outside of what im willing to pay for a charger. If i had a lot more batteries of varying voltages, i'd be all over it though. When they launched the superharness, i jumped at the oppurtunity to try their phaserunner out on my bike because i was having issues with some bafang firmware limitations. In the end the combination of the Superharness being released before it was ready for market, EMI issues, and customer service lacking on the non-hub front, i just went back to my stock controller. I had it working, just not well enough for a daily driver. Phaserunner/Superharness now sits in a box next to the failed CYC stealth gen 3 kit i also shouldn't have bought. Despite this, I still recommend GRIN to any local wanting to use a hub kit, mostly due to customer support and that being their area of expertese.
