Hot off the press, I just received my xmas present from last year! Mom thought it was cool that I was building an e-bike and decided to give me a reference book for it (she's EVER so sweet  ). These were literally just published, as she had ordered it before it was available.

I gave it a quick flip through, and was not entirely surprised to see a lot of visual material from this forum. There are several special projects featured that I've seen here on endless-sphere, and I have to say it's neat to see some members in print!

Anyways I will try to contain my enthusiasm in the next couple weeks as I flip through and read, and review it a little on here. This might make a very good solid state reference for newbies to the hobby. Time and reading will tell. Personally I find it nice to have a handbook to look at instead of having to wrestle with the forum's lackluster search engine. Sometimes you don't find what you need right away...

I got all excited when i saw the 'MS' in the title...i quickly assumed it was
from our resident CNC ProN King Mr Recumpence aka Matt Shumaker
You can imagine my horror when i clicked on the link to see a walmart bike
with a frock motor bolted to it   Off to format
my hard drive, wash my eyez out with soap before I kill the brain cells
recording the information with copious amounts of alk-e-be-hole

Yeah this one is all hub-motor stuff for the most part. Doctor Bass's bike appears in the book also, though...so I think you're just jealous your chopper didn't make the cover!

There was a member (forgot who) that asked me for permission to include my stuff in a book he was writing; I have no idea if it was ever finished or published, though.

Interesting that this just-published book already has used versions available on Amazon:

must have been people like AussieJester, disappointed that it didn't have the kind of conversions they wanted to see. ;)

My best guess, since mine was ordered last year and didn't arrive until june, is that these guys listed their books wrong. Clerical errors perhaps. I mean they are charging ~$25 for a used book when the new one is $15? No way...

hi guys thats my book. i'm glad that those of you that read it, seem to like it. thanks. and thanks again for all those that contributed material. i would ignore the second hand copies thing because they were claiming to have second hand copies before it had even been released. it was a labour of love writing it and it has sold 2500 copies so far. i've not been on the forums for a while because my new job means i can't commute by ebike any more. my fiancee says my ebike is sad and misses the attention i used to give it :( . My projects are now all biodiesel based and i brew my own fuel in the backgarden. every now and then i take the bike for a spin and the ping packs are still all good.
