100 TW
I am swapping-in a different crankset to a frame I have, and it has a 104-BCD 4-arm spider (don't ask, just bear with me). I made a cardboard aided design (CAD) disc, and it turns out the max diameter before hitting the front of the right-side chainstay is 110mm radius, so a chainring with 220mm OD at the peak of the teeth would be my max tooth-count.
There's gotta be a resource on the web with a "punch in diameter/spit out result" function. Sorry that my Google-fu is weak today, couldn't find the right search terms. Any help appreciated.
Also, anybody have a pile old 104-BCD chainrings collecting dust? I prefer to verify that something works before buying new parts, whenever possible.
edit: looks like I could go up to a 54T if they existed. Looked around and the largest 104-BCD I can find is 48T, so I guess that's what I'll use, no danger that it will hit the chain stay.
