I have a 36V bottle battery pack from Luna and the output connector is circular with 4 pins. I want to know if I can use a multimeter to check the voltage. Would I touch the probes of the multimeter to just 2 of the 4 pins? Which 2? Is there any value in measuring the amps?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't try to measure battery "amps" with your multimeter. You will melt the connector pins and the multimeter probe and also burn your fingers. Don't ask me how I know this, but it was an accident and I wasn't trying to measure the battery amps. :D

As far as checking the voltage you can do that as you suggested. Normally only two of the pins are used on a connector like that, but even if more than one pin carries either + or - voltage there will be no problem as long as you only touch each prob to one pin, carefully.
