How to use Grin's SuperHarness DC jack for 12V/1A LEDs?

The SuperHarness manual says I can use 12V lights if I use a converter. Do I just put a 5.5 x 2.1mm DC jack on a buck converter (or two) between two pair of 12V/1A LED lights (8.64W each, four lights total: 2 front & 2 back) from Grin's SuperHarness front and rear jacks? If not can I do so directly from the battery or V6_Phaserunner? My battery connector has this 2 pin lead that did something with the original controller. Otherwise, how might I wire them up?

Why not tap it from the battery itself, and if you want it switched, let the super9 switch a ssr stat switched lights on and off? no power limit, and no chance of blowing the super9 harness. Personally i think 1.5 amps is a bit on the low side..

A converter is Grin's recommendation, (under "5. DC Light Ports"), and should be able to be switched with the display: "Each port has self resetting short circuit and overcurrent protections and can handle 1.5 amps - about 50 watts with a36V battery pack" (though mine is 2 balanced/combined/blended 48Vs). "Internal polyfuses inside the controller will limit the total combined draw. The devices plugged into this port must be rated to run at the full ebike battery voltage. 12V devices will need to be run from a DC-DC converter."

It's also configurable so I'd be losing built-in functionality. I'd like to take the intended route and not add unnecessary switches, but my question was.. possible or not, how would I wire it? I'm not electrically inclined but need to order the parts as well as supply a suggested pathway for my specialist to explore.

I may have misrepresented (and now omitted above), as it states "Each port has self resetting short circuit and overcurrent protections and can handle 1.5 amps". If the SuperHarness supplies full (48Vx2, blended) battery voltage shouldn't it cover 12V at 24W combined from one jack, or 12W if I need to use two step-down converters with both jacks? If nothing is possible, can I fall back on one 12V/1A/6W light and converter per jack?

I also corrected the wattage above. Was 6W, properly calculated at 8.64W (36 x 5050 RGB LED chips set to red, 12V/1A)

This is the converter I'm looking at. My wishlist would include adding more lights if I have room. 10A would cover my output but can I get it through my Superharness?
