Hub motor colors...

Indeed. The tethers also provide a means to connect the electrodes to their testicles.

Testing has shown that 24V 112Hz trapezoidal pulses only result in moderate efficiency and mediocre speeds. 72V-106V 225Hz sinusoidal pulses achieve >92% eff and speeds up to 65kph. Above 106V: eff drops, they smell bad and waste time reading magazines & fiddling with spreadsheet software.

Here's my design for a tuna-powered wheel (probably patent-worthy these days, eh?):

Ja... from a technical point (as Reid has mentioned), gloss black is the most emissive. Flat black emits well, but also absorbs external heat/light. The gloss rejects the external energy better.

Not a stealthy color tho.

LOL, the cat is even in the right direction to move the bike, classic

Of course! What's the point of designing a system that moves you the wrong direction, or just spins its wheels going nowhere fast?

I think this would be the way to go:

Blasphemy.

I like the idea of a single hamster, one on each side of the hub motor would be most excellent.

If 1 H.P. = ~750 watts, then one Hamster Power would be totally legal for an electric assist bike in the USA.

Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite.

The good ole radial-8.
That'll be sure get the cops on your a$$.
Something to appease the people who are waiting on Revopower.
I might actually try this, it's getting a little tiresome, people coming up to me continuallly asking "Duh, is dat sum kinda mo-wa?" :D

I know it's not exactly what your after, but I hope the graphics ideas keep coming.
They would make great appliqué/decals.
I take it graphics are beyond what's available, but how varied is the color pallette?
There's lotsa subtle varieties in the silver/grey area.
I like a gunmetal finish (I think that's what it's called) which has a slight bluish hue to it.
The color of unfinished titanium is a nice shade of dark grey.

Want to repeat a caution I've posted here previously that black colored hubmotors are specifically trademarked, but since they're way over there in France you may get away with it on a short run.
Just so you're aware of potential problems down the road.

You're joking, right? How do you trademark just a color (surely this company didn't trademark a motor)? And how does that trademark legally restrain someone else from painting their motor that color?

Custom hub? Most important to me would be larger diammeter axel with bigger entry. This would allow larger guage wire and forced air cooling and air exhaust out( to heat batteries in cold). Have to drill holes in drop outs to accomodate? fine by me.

I don't know how the legalities behind it work, but it's no joke.
They call it 'Trade Dress'.

so you made it to a giga-watt, ya rat-bastard.

:D
Trade Dress:

Don't attorneys have enough ways to make tons of money already? As a profession, are they really that short of meaningful work to do? Would businesses asserting trade dress suddenly suffer if trade dress just went *poof*? Or would they do better by spending more time and money competing on quality products and services, and less time and money on appearances, attorneys, suing their customers and each other? And we wonder why the court systems are backing up like a septic tank.

3002 and counting....:D

you could probably start marketing these to the redneck crowd if you put NASCAR team colors and logos all over them.

Guess you haven't known many rednecks. :) It'll take more than logos; unless the motor is as loud as a string of firecrackers, spews visible and smelly pollution, burns rubber off the tires, and requires constant maintenance, it'll never be popular with rednecks.

This will help keep people away :D

Except for terrorists and their nuclear materials suppliers, whom the emblem will attract like rats to cheese. :?
