I cannot acces parameter settings on KT-LCD8S

Hello everyone,

I am trying to acces the parameter settings on a KT-LCD8S and does not work, I read almost 10 user manuals and tried every single button combination within the 5 seconds after turned on. Did you had issues with this? Any help will be very appreciated

Is it a kit system (DIY), or one that came preinstalled on a prebuilt brand-name (OEM) ebike?

Some OEM systems are locked so can't be accessed by the end-user.

I bought the bike from a Danish brand and it came with the display installed on it.

There is any possibility to unlock the system?

If it doesn't ask for a password when using the standard setup button combination, it's likely that it's simply locked out from the factory.

If you're lucky it might just require a special combination or sequence to get to the password part; the password could be anything but is probably a common number like in this thread:

If it's the display itself that is locked, you could replace it with a standard version, as long as it's firmware/etc is compatible with your controller (you won't really know until you try it).

If it's the controller that is locked, a standard display wont' change the behavior, and a new controller would be needed.
