That's certainly a lot more blinkies than I ever put on any single prop or model that I actually finished. :) It would be interesting to put them on a DOT full-face helmet, and they most certainly would attract attention--I just wonder if they wouldn't cause more crashes than they prevent!

(the one model I didn't finish that might've had more blinkies was a spaceship built from toner cartridges, which looked vaguely like the exterior of the Leonov from 2010, including a motorized rotating section, and was around 12 feet long. CCFLs and such from scanners to light the windows and docking bay, strobing LEDs for nav lights and whatnot, and would've had functional solar panels off of a crapload of junked calculators that recharged the little NiCD batteries each part of the rotating section was to be powered by. But I never got it finished after the layoffs at Honeywell happened, and I don't even have all the pieces anymore. I really wish I had pics of the build process, but I didn't do cameras back then).

Hey Amber that sounds great!! this guy has done a nice job on this, the real Daft Punk helmet is even cooler, the front of the helmet has loads of animated leds so it can animate images and text, so cool!!

Yeah, I've seen the vids and stuff of the DP helmets/costumes/etc., but this guy's is practical enough to wear around and still see thru it (at least forward, not sure about sides).

It'd be really neat if those wires in back were EL wire sequenced thru with changing sequences (sound-based would be nice).

first off....
daft punk rules!!!

now that I have that out of my system, I have no idea how the original helmet is able to have all those leds in the front and still be able to see out of it. personaly, I plan on using this helmet when (if?) I get my cruiser done

a helmet fit for a space money, though once I get a off road build going this helmet will be a bit more appropriate
