I want your opinions on e-bike Legal issues

Just so you're aware for the future, 750w with a 100% efficient motor in a light mountain bike can do about 27mph on flat ground. You pedaling with an Olympic level cyclists effort and a perfect 750w motor assist still can't exceed ~41mph on flat ground.

Something like a lowracer with streamlining tailbox could barely do the speed you claim for the power under perfect circumstances.

Amazing isn't it? How much faster you go on just a half precent downhill grade (which seems flat) with the wind at your back?

What was your speed riding back the same way the same day? Doesn't like hills much, I believe that.

Wonder what a 750 watt inverter really maxes out at, and how long they last when overloaded by too large a device? I don't doubt your motor is pulling more than 750 w one bit.

I'm glad your hack worked for you, but just think you used more watts than you think. Only a real wattmeter on the bike can measure that for sure. I never doubted your motor, just think you could power it better.

Lol, luke has a hard-on! If you read carefully, he said he fried his 750 watt inverter and he doesn't really give any clues about how much power is involved in his experiment.

Mainly I don't appreciate being called a troll and a dumb person.

I am however stuck between a dilemma. My 750W inverter bit the dust(old old unit with tons of dust inside, didn't want to run a large load, needed a new one anyway). Do I get a 1000W inverter for $80, or wait for a coupon and the a 800W generator from harbor freight for $89. I have other uses for both, so no money wasted. I'm leaning towards the inverter for my solar system.

Don't expect me to answer any more questions on this forum, there are better forums out there. Sure they still say it won't work, but atleast they are not flat out calling me a dumb person, or a troll.

Should have it done within a week since I'm feeling much better after I had my wisdom teeth taken out.

Maybe its something about Iowa, but I had many similar ideas initially so I don't think he's a troll. He's testing his ideas and isn't that what is revered here? Too bad he got discouraged enough to consider documenting his experiment a waste of time. I can't blame him. If I was going anywhere near where he lives I'd want to meet up with him and talk EVs.

Talking about an inverter like the power it outputs is more than what it inputs?
Talking about putting a single phase motor with no starting torque on an EV running from an inverter, just to add more losses and take up space??

50mph trailer pulling golf kart batteries with a bicycle, to be replaced by a GENERATOR that you tow... when he all ready has a gas bike which would be WAY more efficient than a gen to drive a motor (with no starting torque) could ever be.

It's either the dumbest person in the world, who also happens to be so blindling stubborn they can't listen to the responses trying to guide them, or it's a clown who types BS to get us wound up, and sits back laughing. I would like to believe the latter, but I guess the former could be possible... Kinda scares me to think that way though...
