i was doored today

Yeah, flipping people off makes them think you are a jack@ss, but it gets them to notice you.

I've only lost a bit of skin.

But a work mate broke his pelvis yesterday (collided with cycling mate..doh).

And in the last year we also had compressed vertibrae injury (neckbrace for 2 months), a broken rib/punctured lung, and the boss broke his collarbone.

Cycling and my work place don't mix...

About 20 years ago on a non powered mountain bike I took a tumble when the seat collapsed riding through a ditch,I went head first into the side of the road.I had fractured my cheek bone in 3 places (around the right eye) and also broke my left collar bone.I wasn't wearing a helmet at the time,I wear one every time I ride now!

For me biking injuries include:
- broken collar bone, did it jumping my bmx, went over the handle bars on way too steep of a jump
- broken fingure - high speed wipe out on rocky slope
- shattered kneecap - handlebar clipped a tree at a highspeed on a single track trail. I was using clippless pedals and smashed the kneecap into the stem.
- separated shoulder - times two, first time was jumping in high wind, the wind grabbed my tires and I landed on my shoulder, second time was a high speed crash on dirt merchant in whistler, was following my brother and got mud in my eyes and slammed straight into an upshoot jump.

E-biking injuries after six months:
- broken/cracked rib - a few weeks ago I feel off a low speed on ice. I had my summer tires on and didn't think there was any ice on the route but a spring that leaked on to the path had caused that part to ice over.

a year and a half ago i ran into a pothole that i didn't see in the dark. the front wheel sank into it suddenly and all forward motion stopped.

pulverized the shoulder joint to the point that it was replaced with an artificial joint. i have never regained full range of motion or strength in the arm.
