The 250W Yamaha PW-SE and PW-X2 motors are not optimally wound, there is room left. Winding to 100% will give a better efficiency. See my website here:

With a better fill factor, the copper losses are lower, so that the motor can handle a more power. I don't have time myself, who can try this out?

Its pretty far from here to the Netherlands im in Washington DC. Low stator tooth count sounds easy enough to rewind, if you could get a diameter on the wire it would be optimal. I worry about the various white parts seen throughout as they appear to be Nylon but im unsure based off the photos you have provided. Higher fill either with bigger/thicker wire OR with more turns would leave me asking about an external controller for better thermals and more power. Also, attempting to source or get re-made, some metal gears so they are less likely to strip. This thing could be tuned up as is with higher voltage, and more turns on the stator, (fets and Caps on controller board allowing). One last thing is the possible issue of higher power possibly cracking the case which is something ive heard people discuss of other motors. Someone else more knowledegable should chime in.
