Inter vendor squabbles - luna cycle, em3ev, ebikekit, etc

I've done some comparison recently

The key word is recently. As stated, once Luna began selling just over a year ago (July 2015), prices dropped. That is Eric's true crime. If Luna's competitors improve the design of their packs due to competition from Luna, I view that as a good thing.

For what it's worth, I don't believe Paul at em3ev is involved...

I always love a good squabble in non-business-type group "business" meetings, I get a good chuckle out of the ego's running wild, but its typical in my line of non-profit group, whether it be money, building, tenants, landlord, smoking, parking, members. Its the same all around the world really in that line up. People get more pissy when their lively-hood is at stake.

Who can pump their chest out and piss the furthest?

This topic caught my eye, because of all the vendor bashing that has gone on lately. Not just inter-vendor, but many people from proven members, to suspiciously astro-turfing new members.

The thing is, sellers these days understand the power of social media in all its forms. It's very hard to run a successful online business without a social media strategy, and all it takes is one player to be unethical, or one player to suspect another player of not being ethical, and the whole thing is a race to the bottom. Meanwhile, forums like this and social media end up being an unwilling and unqualified judge, uncertain how to be impartial in the proceedings.

As someone who joined their first forum in 1996, let me say that none of this impresses me. The winner of a shit-fight is still covered in shit.

I now largely ignore internet reviews and forum comments by anyone other than the declared vendor themselves. Every company has unreasonable customers. Complaints don't scare me off. Every company can put the extra mile to make a customer happy once - that doesn't impress me. Every company has competitors willing to slander. Every company has staff, friends or family, willing to rave about their products and services insincerely. I work in fraud and security. I'm a cynic. In God we trust, everyone else, I verify their stories.

So how do I buy? By the actions of authorized representatives. Show you're knowledgeable on a forum? I'm impressed. Help the community or a member with no expectation of return? You can expect my loyalty. Handle a libelous post professionally and with dignity? Shut up and take my money.

Ebikes is an innovative game. The players are often young, emotional, and impetuous. They could learn a little from the way Justin especially conducts their business. These days, if Justin has it, and I want it, money is no object. I don't even look at another vendor. Isn't that the kind of customer every vendor wants?
