interrupted charging, top up vs continous to full

I noticed something strange with my battery and was wondering whether this is specific to mine.
When I charge continuously to full, the bike has significantly more power for the first few miles.
When I interrupt the charging (say divide into about an hour periods) but still to full, the motor does not have the same kick, feels like 10miles from the first scenario.
Is it normal? Everywhere I read that interrupting the charging does not make any difference, but it does with my battery/charger.
My batt : 48V 14.5Ah Hairon cells SAMSUNG INR18650-29E, standard charger
 
One data sheet I looked up shows the cell to be .2c ? That's a pretty weak discharge for battery. So lower c rate cells sag more than higher c rate cells.
