Is this a possible build? It's a Crescent on-off carbon frame..and I like the chainstay on the drive side?

Bloated plastic frame, through axle... that's a very poor candidate for conversion. You do you, but that bike has a bunch of strikes against it before you even get started.

Build for what, with what, under what riding conditions, for what usage?

Can't tell you suitability for a purpose without knowing that purpose, etc.

I wouldn't mess with the rear end, but there's enough meat around the BB junction to consider a something like a bafang M620. Lot of fabrication work though, when you could buy a pre-made frame or complete bike. Complete bike a whole lot neater with integrated battery.

Depends on your level of expertise. That frame does not lend itself to easy accomodation of most off-the-shelf components.
