New-ish here
a friend has asked me to replace cells in a battery pack as no spare and no case was available (Help identify & source side-take-out battery case) . Back cover towards the controller has a 2-pin connector heavily wired to the sealed cell pack, no questions .
Behind the front cover sits this little pcb labeled AL1014M001-1 next to the 2-wire charge reception. The pcb provides a push button and an LED. My friend says she has never used this button and has no info what the LED would indicate.
2 heavy wires from the charge reception into the sealed cell pack.
The pcb has small wiring
+ red wire to the positive contact of charge reception,
+ black wire goes into the sealed cell pack.
I have yet to open the sealed cell pack but can only do that with new cells at hand to rebuild quickly. Possibly a bms inside or not.
To be prepared as much as possible, I want to understand the possible relevance of the pcb and if I must preserve its functionality - maybe somehow tied to a bms hidden in the sealed cell pack?
Ideas?
