Hi all, complete noob. I did try the search function but did not see an answer to this question. I have just received a Kelley controller kls7230. 72v 120amp constant 300amp peak. My question is regarding a cycle analyst or similar lcd system to monitor battery and the like. There doesn’t seem to be a plug for any such device. My old crystalyte system has a 6 pin plug which plugs into the lcd display... is it at all possible to run the same lcd set up or even a cycle analyst? If so how would I connect it to this controller? Obviously monitoring battery use would be ideal... thanks

Download the CA Unofficial Guide >>here<< and take a look at: Appendix D. Adding a CA-DP Connector to a Generic Controller. This works for either CA2 or CA3 models, which have very different capabilities.

There are other ways to add the necessary connector, but this is the easy way that doesn't require opening or modifying the controller in any way.

There are a few threads about it, but only if you spell "Kelly" correctly. ;)

one of which has detailed info on connecting them up, the others just basic "which kind" info.
