Kingsmotorbikes hub motor kit

No, I don't have a Kings' kit; just this dull Currie cruiser.

btw, regarding your pictures of the DB screens:

I am not seeing wh or wh/km readings on my DB.
I need to look into that---the screen comes up at present, but no reading or recorded numbers on that one screen.

Velectris sells the Super Phantom that looks like the motor that came with our kits, with different sideplates.

Golden Motor has HBS-36 that also looks alike, and the specs are similar.

Brett White on his SolarBBQ site has the GL2 that also seems pretty much identical.

Wires melting together:

Watch the metal coil going into the hub. It isn't that great in protecting the wire and can actually hide damage.

3rd pic down. The hall sensor board. The right hand side connector looks like it is beyond the protective board and is risking connecting the windings.

Yeah, I'm thinking about putting fatter wires for the coils though. the ones currently in place show signs of having melted, and indeed fused together, though electricly everything still works as it should there for now.

The pic is a little misleading, the peice of parchemin paper(?) actually covers the underside and such pretty well.

Oh, and the magnet ring is 19.8cm cm's across, also the faceplates seem to be aluminium-ish material, the inner part of the motor too. The part where the magnets is made of something that rusts.

This bike has the same headlamp thing:

Same rack + battery bag, bungee seems made the same way.
The connectors look very familiar, too.

They are at lleast SOME getting their stuff from the same company that kings did. Controller looks different. Wonder if it would work.

$38.00 Oakland based importer.
