KT LCD5 help (I've researched already)

Hello all! Got my LCD5 connected to my KT 30A controller and I cannot turn off cruise control. Unaware of how it worked, I wired the cruise wire pair to a switch that I can turn on or off. I have C7 set off/0 and I have tried with the switch open or closed. In my research, I have found that the cruise wires not being looped together should turn off the auto cruise function and that C7 would turn off cruise through the display. Still, if I am throttle all the way, the cruise will kick in because I have not changed my throttle input. Does anyone know what I can do here?

Odd. The jumper overrides the display settings, but should default to the display setting when disconnected. The jumper allows you to use cruise when running without a display. Might be an interesting test to run without the display and see if cruise still functions with the jumper disconnected.

Yeah I will give that a shot. I was thinking the controller is the issue and maybe there's a board issue, but this is a good test too. Do I just plug in the display bypass plug and turn on power to the bike? EDIT: I can't use that jumper because I changed the connector at the end of the display. How else can I run without the display connected?

If it's the plug that came with the controller, then yes. You could manually jumper the connector, but it's good you saved the plug.

bridging/shorting pins 1,2 (red wrie, blue wire) in the display connector will start the controller (in my case- in out of the box status) headless, no pas, throttle control, and brake cut off on grounding the input. If using a julet type waterproof plug/socket google for the pinout and be mindful of the gender/orientation.

If you have jst connectors:
1) Jumper from V+(Red #1) to Control (Blue #2).
2) Jumper from Ground (Black #3) to RX (Yellow #5).

UPDATE: I am an idiot. There was a small short with the wiring I did (because I have to make everything complicated and unique) and the opened switch was still closed... I think we're good, but prepare for another thread from me soon hahaha
