About 0.5" here since Tuesday. Nothing heavy but like drizzle for days at a time. Sun finally came out today. Tomorrow should be good for riding. Rain returns next week but not much expected.

Because of the generally cooler oceans, there hasn't been as much precipitation in Australia, so some farmlands have been drying up quite severely over the last 3 years...
https://twitter.com/7NewsMelbourne/status/1206117740538290176?s=20

Like the climate change science extra co2 warming claims, the oceans should get warmer thus creating more precipitation, but this hasn't been happening because of other factors that are more powerful, like the Solar Minimum https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_minimum which has been causing cooling because solar minimum means less energy from the sun in the last few years causing the oceans to be cooler. We are at the peak of Solar Minimum now as this NASA video has predicted https://youtu.be/kBKJkU06ICQ?t=70
The effect on some Australian farms has been amazing, turning them into desert.
https://www.facebook.com/SkyNewsAustralia/videos/985907438429326/?v=985907438429326
I have seen this many times now over my lifetime, the rains return, usually breaking previous records its good for a while, then it dries up again as the solar cycles continue to turn around.

About 25% of ABC news Melbourne today was about how global warming is killing us all and we are all doomed, but even they couldn't help but report this
Coldest maximum summer temperature on record at Thredbo
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-12-07/lowest-maximum-summer-temperature-at-thredbo/11774908
The weather station at Thredbo has been a personal favourite that the BOM in Australia has been caught deliberately deleting record cold low-temperature recordings in the past.

Major Australian snowfields extended their snow-boarding season as show a few months ago: https://twitter.com/PerisherResort/status/1172052431095529473?s=20
But this newer news report shows "Snow in Summer Australia" suggests we could have extended the snowboarding season technically all the way into official summer season! https://twitter.com/9NewsMelb/status/1201397577532375040?s=20

Broadcast media is respected but it's ultimately a technology that has long been heavily abused and the internet is starting to reveal that quite clearly https://twitter.com/PolishPatriotTM/status/1183695628288827392?s=20

Here is NASA's excellent rundown of the "Solar Minimum" expected to "peak" in 2019/2020 which is now, as this video was released a few years ago. https://youtu.be/kBKJkU06ICQ?t=70

Be sure to watch this video in full... https://youtu.be/kBKJkU06ICQ?t=70

Franky, I agree with some of the other expert climate chance scientists that say CO2 hasn't been anything near what they originally predicted in warming https://youtu.be/fA5sGtj7QKQ?t=181, I would prefer they spent all this climate change money on analysing the Sun's Solar Minimum/Solar Cycles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle and its effects on Earth rather than co2 which comparatively seems to have far fewer effects on Earth than originally claimed.

The AR was aimed way north of me for a few days but now it's sliding south. It's expected to pass by quickly and keep going south. Rained all night and still coming down now. I haven't been out to see the rain gauge yet.

I went for a ride yesterday before the rain started. It was pretty messy. I need to get some better fenders.

Rained on and off in the "OC" from about midnight to 9 AM; probably 0.5". Expecting a big downpour on Wednesday.

Last night it came down pretty hard but only for a short time. Wind gusts were enough to blow out the pilot light on my heating systems so woke up to a very cold house. It must have hailed briefly as I found what looked like a patch of snow in the back yard. I guess it was insulated by the leaves and protected from the rain enough to not melt instantly. It was about enough to make two snowballs. Sort of a white Christmas for me.
