Latched Hall Sensor Demonstration & How It Works

There is one thing that not everyone is aware of when purchasing hall sensors. Some do latch and some do not. Here is the demonstration to clarify on how a "latched" hall sensor works using the ebike motor/controller hall/phase/throttle tester. The hall sensor being used is the Honeywell SS41 bipolar and latched type hall sensor that is widely used on most brushless hub motors.

When it senses magnetic, it will trigger on and stays on (latched) until it senses the magnetic from the opposite direction.
