Low ESR Capacitor and Ripple Current Rating

I am voltage spike filter for VESC controller like my Flipsky 75100.

I bought the above for the PCB, I took off the TVS diodes and I need high voltage capacitors.

I found Nichicon PW series and HW series on mouser
Ripple Current
1520 mA (PW)
3.86 A (HW)


The HW series has a much higher "Ripple Current" rating,
I am guessing the higher ripple current rating is BETTER for use as a voltage spike filter?

I am planning on adding 2000uf aka 2x1000uf caps.

I am going for the HW series capacitor as it has lower resistance and higher Ripple Current rating.
