MAC Hub Motor Noise Square Wave Infineon vS Sine Wave KT

Hi!

i am corrently using a 12T Mac Hub hooked up onto a 12 Fet EB312 Infineon Square Wave Controller which performs great except its noise. Especially during start the Hub makes a grumble noise until it reaches 5-6kmh. I dont think that this noise is generated by the planetary gears, correct me if i am wrong.

Since this is somehow annoying i am considering to change the controller to a kt36 sine wave, does anyone here have any experience with MAC Hubs + Sine Wave (KT maybe) and its noise level compared to the old Infineons?

A sine wave controller will be much quieter. I don't have experience with that exact combination, but have used both types of controllers on a similar motor and the difference was quite noticeable.
