I wonder if anyone can help me my magic pie 2 is beeping twice, it also now doesnt start from a standing start and the throttle response is sluggish. It has developed a stutter every now and then. i recently purchased the usb cable for programming it but have since returned all the parameters to factory settings. It still has the fault. i still ride it but i have to pedal from a standing start and as the bike is pretty heavy it does leave me worried about when the power will kick in.
I am fairly new to the e bike and would greatly appreciate any help. I have also connected a cycle analyst stand alone which is great for telling me the watts im using, the highest being just over 600 watts, my top speed is about 25mph on a 48v 12 ah batt.

Have you described this issue to who you bought the motor from or the manufacturer? I am unfamiliar with beeping motors entirely, but I imagine they'd know exactly what that sound means, perhaps the way it beeps is a code of some sort giving you a specific piece of information and also warning you to NOT continue using it or you may make matters worse or dangerous for yourself? Just a guess.

Two beeps means the controller has sensed a hall sensor failure and has reverted to running in a sensor-less mode. Full details of all the controller failure modes are given on the manufacturers web site - http://www.goldenmotor.com - look for the cruise controller user guide.
