I'm working on my first e-bike project and I am about to order a hub motor. I decided to order to order a Magic Pie from goldenmotor.ca and I noticed on their site that they still sell the Magic Pie 2 for about $80 dollars less.
My question is... What exactly is different between the two other than the internal controller? Is there any upgrades or improvements to the actually motor? I plan on buying a LYEN controller and putting some serious power to the motor (5kw+) so I dont really care about the controller it comes with, I might as well save the money as long as the motor is identical.
From what I can tell they are the same, but I wanted to make sure before I ordered so I decided to check with the experienced e-bikers here on endless-sphere. By the way, this site is great! Lots of info and so many awesome projects! I plan on posting some pics/vids of mine once Its up and running!
