Mate X Fat Bike - adding a throttle?

Hi All,

I just bought a MATE-X fat bike that runs a Shengyi DGW25 SY254820SJ 48V 500W motor and a Lishui LSW1545-5-1M Controller. The Australian (and I believe in the EU) fun police mandate that ebikes cannot have a hand throttle and must be limited to very slow speed. The speed I can sort out by adjusting settings in the controller but there is no place to actually plug in a hand throttle.

Question is: Can a Lishui LSW1545-5-1M Controller be modified to accept a throttle? There is a note on the controller labelled "Throttle Adjustment voltage: 1.2v-4.4v" which sort of says it can handle a throttle but it is just not wired for one.

I'm happy to open the controller and solder in the wires if someone knows where to attach them and if it is in fact possible to do.

Often the three wires required for a throttle will go to...

5 or 4.3vdc + supply voltage, 0vdc or ground (batt negative), and input... SP labeled terminal on board.
