So for my year 13 materials tech project i decided to delve into the ebike world, inspired by Alex Mercier's E-bikes, the LMX bikes, and build my own custom ebike with the 1000w bht "big block", i also wanted pedals to make it semi legal on the road. so here is my design work and development to where i am now, i have made all the real design decisions on my own which is what i wanted, and now i'd love some advice from some proper engineers to how good my designs look. all this work is going to be handed in at the end of the year for my grades in materials technology, and graphics subjects. feel free to offer any advice as i'm still young (17) and this is a big project.

Outstanding work!
For a 17 year old high schooler you have some mad skills and did some good research and reasoning.
Keep it up and you will have a very bright future.
I'll be watching in anticipation for its completion and see some vids.

Ps
Love the narrow width, much more bicycle-like.

Looking forward to see this project completed. Impressive as your first build and at your age. Bright future ahead of you young man.

Some of the files are hard to read, the ones with writing. Maybe you have higher quality?

Heres a few photos from the last couple days, had a quick assemble of the frame with swing-arm and front fork, featuring my mates who wouldn't get out of the Photos :p

The max file size is 512kb so all my files are sized down to that unfortunately, don't really want to post links either because they can go bad and ruin the thread, unless you can think of a good site to post from?

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Well this might not be a big issue for other, they might have better screens then I do. Or better eye sight. Or even better glasses.
You could PM me a link to higher quality, would love to see clearly on your sketches and notes. If you upload to imgur.com or whatever just pm the links.

Yeah any third party free upload service is likely to break links sooner or later. That is a good point you have.

Did my first test running under its own power today!! very pleased to see it drive its self for the first time
