100 W
Getting close to 2000 miles on my dual motor BBSO2 with a 1500 watt direct drive hub. Thought I would give some advice if others wanted to build one also. I am running 48 volt dual batteries, a 60 t chainring 14 to 28 5 speed freewheel. I do some 40 mile one-way commutes in moderate hills. In this setup the hub is taking most the load , I will only really turn up the power on the mid -drive for steeper hills to maintain a 25 to 30 mph climb rate. On the flatter terrain run the mid -drive pedal assist 1 or 2 around 150 watts to help the hub stay around 30 mph without having to pull 1500 watts, this is where 60 t chainring helps you can pedal up to 35 mph without ghost pedaling . Was kinda surprised by how much even at low power the mid -drive would add a few mph to the cruising speed of the hub.
Pretty happy with how it's working, will be towing some loads this summer should be no problem
