Modifying a Hammerschmidt for mid-engine (freewheel?)

First some Pictures:

I have a Hammerschmidt on my Norco Shore 1 and I was wondering if (and how) I could make something similar.

I like the idea of mid drive more and more. Not only because the dropouts on my bike need to be modified to take a hubmotor (I think no modern DH/FR bike has that oldschool dropouts/rearaxles required for hubmotors).

Does anybody have an idea how they build this, what parts they may have used and if there are any parts available? From looking at the picture I can't tell if it has freewheel so the motor won't spin the cranks all the time.

Do you know of any other Hammerschmidt mid drive builds?

I think the idea is very good .
the system is working like a normal sungear .
parts are custom made , don't think they are easy to find off the self .
