The CX450 frame is small and isn't comfortable to pedal while on the saddle for average adult size. If you're not expecting to pedal, the CX450 is a fun configuration.

Curious what you mean by that. I'd guess (Never had the chance to ride one) that the cranks are too far back, actually ON the swingarm from the looks of it. Is that issue you have with it?

If you wanted it longer, by how much? How tall are you?

It's a small frame (originally a kids bike), similar to a bmx which is hard to pedal while sitting down. Of course with taller suspension it maybe possible to pedal while some sitting down. Also raising the banana seat.

Like evolutiongts says, they are basically a 20" BMX and most of the on-street BMX riding I've seen involves standing up off the seat for pedaling, alternated with sit-down coasting.

Because the CX450 swingarm uses a 'universal style' pivot/attachment point, it lends itself well to reassignment on full-sized frames if pedaling is desired. Here's how TylerDurden modified his CX with some 4" PVC pipe to make it more pedaling friendly:

Now it really looks like a supermoto. Does your pedal crank smack the motor? Do you have the pedal crank constrained somehow? I can imagine that having them constrained in the position shown would make it easy to lift your butt off the seat for large bumps.

Fixed the images, the pedals are locked in place. This is a throttle only bike, and is purely my offroader. Eventually I'll have some foot pegs fabbed up.

Love those videos. Its a great combination of light weight and performance, eh? That's a great 1st person POV in your videos. Is there any chance you can get someone else to take video of you riding, from another bike? I think that would reveal another dimension of how awesome it is riding your supermoto. Really I'm curious if you can ride that thing without a permanent chip-eating grin.

The frame is steel so its not necessarily lighter than a bicycle frame, but it the motor is lighter than most hub motors. Its definately light and agile. I going to shooting some off-road footage tomorrow and have my fiance film me. I'm always grinning on this bike, I don't even ride my 52mph cromotor bike anymore.

iv only ever dealt with hub motors so far, but this makes me tempted to dabble in mid-drive territory, even if its just for laughs :lol:

It is, I picked it up for $60 off craigslist, now its hill climbing, downhill bombing, electric super moto. I rarely even ride my cromotor bike anymore.

Got it off ebay I searched 12-85v 4 x cree led light. Its as bright as a motorcycle light.
